Government College Satnali

The students of Government College Satnali are expected to uphold the values of discipline, respect, and responsibility both inside and outside the campus. To ensure a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment, the following code of conduct must be observed:

1. Identity Card

  • Students must carry their valid college identity card at all times within the campus and during any representation of the college outside.

  • The ID card must be presented when demanded by college authorities.

  • Loss of the ID card must be reported immediately, and a duplicate obtained through the prescribed procedure.

2. Punctuality and Attendance

  • Students are required to be punctual and regular in attending classes, examinations, and college activities.

  • Attendance requirements must be strictly observed as per university and college regulations.

3. Notice Board and Communication

  • Students must check the college notice boards and official communication channels regularly.

  • Ignorance of information due to negligence will not be accepted as an excuse.

4. Respect and Conduct

  • Mutual respect towards peers, teaching staff, and support staff is mandatory.

  • Students must maintain discipline, avoid unnecessary noise, and move between classrooms in an orderly manner.

  • Assignments, projects, and tests must be completed and submitted on time.

5. Participation in Activities

  • Active involvement in co-curricular, extracurricular, and extension activities such as NSS, cultural programmes, and sports is strongly encouraged.

6. Library and Sports Facilities

  • Students are expected to use the library, reading hall, and sports facilities responsibly and maintain discipline in these areas.

7. Academic Integrity

  • Academic honesty is a core value. Students must not engage in lying, cheating, plagiarism, or the use of unauthorized materials in examinations or assignments.

8. Prohibition of Substance Abuse

  • The use, possession, or distribution of intoxicants, drugs, or alcohol is strictly prohibited within the campus.

9. Ragging

  • Ragging in any form is strictly banned, as per the directives of the Supreme Court and UGC.

  • Any involvement in ragging is a punishable offense leading to severe disciplinary action, including expulsion.

10. Harassment and Eve-Teasing

  • Any form of harassment, eve-teasing, or inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited.

  • Such matters should be reported immediately to the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) or the Committee for Prevention of Sexual Harassment.

11. Violence and Indiscipline

  • Acts of violence, aggression, or disturbance of peace will not be tolerated and will invite strict disciplinary action.

12. Outsiders

  • Unauthorized entry of outsiders into the campus is prohibited.

  • Students found responsible for inviting outsiders without permission will face disciplinary measures.

13. Weapons and Hazardous Materials

  • Carrying or possession of weapons, firearms, explosives, or hazardous substances is strictly forbidden.

14. Protection of College Property

  • Students must respect and protect college property.

  • Writing on walls, furniture, or causing damage to infrastructure is strictly prohibited.

15. Cleanliness and Hygiene

  • Maintaining cleanliness on campus is the shared responsibility of all students.

  • Littering is prohibited, and waste must be disposed of responsibly.

16. Energy Conservation

  • Students must switch off fans, lights, and electrical appliances when not in use to conserve energy.

17. Ban on Plastic Use

  • Single-use plastics are banned on campus.

  • Students are encouraged to use eco-friendly alternatives such as reusable bottles, bags, and cutlery.
