Women Cell


The Women development cell at the college undertakes a variety of activities to promote women’s empowerment and awareness. The women cell is running in college since 2013.  Under this cell various  Extension lectures of eminent speakers are conducted to usher in awareness about health and hygiene, various laws and regulations pertaining to females. Along with it, Workshops and Training  are conducted for the skill and personality development of the girl students. The women cell functions with the following purposes.

  • To raise awareness on gender quality issue.
  • To help them in knowing the importance of good health.
  • To make them aware about their rights.
  • To assist them in overall development of their personality.
  • To help them in raising their voice against all kinds of discriminations.
  • To help them to develop decision making abilities.
  • To help them in changing their mind sets.
  • To prevent gender discrimination and inappropriate sexual conduct.

National Service Scheme


The National service scheme (NSS) is a central sector scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. NSS was launched in 1969. Its motto is “NOT ME BUT YOU”.  We have one Unit of NSS with an intake of 100 students (volunteers). One of the important services that can be rendered by NSS volunteers is disseminating information about the latest developments in agriculture, watershed management, wastelands development, non- convenient energy, low cost housing, sanitation, nutrition and personal hygiene schemes for skill development. Following are the main objectives:

  • To develop confident leadership skill.
  • To gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life.
  • To reflects the essence of democratic living.
  • To consideration for fellow human beings.
  • NSS volunteers will get the benefits from the NSS activities in job.
  • 24 September is celebrated every year as NSS day.
  • There are so many activities under NSS during the year like, plantation, cleanness the campus, national festival celebration, cleanness the surrounding areas.

Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club


Red Cross was established in Government College Satnali in 2017 and it is celebrated on 8 May every year on the birthday anniversary of founder of Red Cross. Its main functions are as follows: blood collection, disaster relief aid to soldiers and victims of war. The Red Ribbon is a symbol for drunk driving prevention, drug prevention blood disorders such as help syndrome and for the fight against HIV/AIDS. The Red Ribbon foundation and Mothers Against Drunk Driving  (MADD) are examples of organizations that utilize the red ribbon symbol. Red Ribbon club was also established in Government College Satnali in 2017. Through which students will spread awareness over HIV/AIDS. The world health day weekly activities from 8th April – 15th April is celebrated for awareness of HIV/AIDS. During this period many competitions as poster making speech, awareness Lecture, painting, documentary filling was showed to students for HIV/AIDS awareness. Following are the main objectives:

  • To aware about HIV/AIDS.
  • To make activities for students creativity.
  • Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for human being.
  • To induce the spirit among youth to help and support people living with HIV/AIDS.

Sports


The Department of Sports has produced many sports persons of State and University repute who brought laurels not only to Satnali College but also to Mahendergarh district as well. For harnessing the potential of the youth and promoting sports, the college has excellent playground. The department of sports organizes ‘Annual Athletic meet’ every academic year and the position holders are being awarded with handsome cash prizes. The department of sports also teaches a lesson of ethical appropriate, polite and fair behavior while participating in a game or athletic event.  In the College grounds following events are conducted:

Cultural Activities 


For the development of the girls students, various cultural activities and programmes are organized every year in which a large number of girl students participate. The Cultural committee of the College for the session 2019-20 is as under:

To discover and hone hidden talent among students, an annual talent search programme is organized in the college in the beginning of every session. The students also participate in cultural activities and competitions like folk songs, folk dances, group dances etc. organized at the college, district and state levels. An annual Zonal Youth Festival is organized at the university level in the months of October-November in which students from all the colleges under the university participate in different competitions and are given certificates and prizes. Those students who stood out in these competitions are given a chance to further participate in Inter-Zonal and Inter-university competitions.
